About the Job

The Support Technician is responsible for technical support and management of welfare technology related to the mission of the Safety Service.

The role ensures that safety systems, digital locks, and other welfare technology function correctly and that relevant operations receive the necessary support. The mission contributes to ensuring that care recipients can use welfare technology in a safe and appropriate manner.

A typical workday consists of handling support cases that come in via phone, case management systems, or internally at the Safety Service. The handling involves troubleshooting and resolving technical incidents, as well as escalating cases to suppliers when necessary. The work is primarily conducted from the Safety Service's premises in central Gothenburg, but technical support work at home care units and our care and nursing homes may occur.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to home care and nursing homes regarding safety systems, digital locks, and other welfare technology
  • Act as a contact function between nursing homes and suppliers of safety systems
  • Be responsible for administration, refurbishment, and troubleshooting of existing welfare technology
  • Provide technical support to welfare technicians during installation, service, and troubleshooting at care recipients' homes
  • Conduct functional tests of updates and new versions of alarm phones and welfare technology
  • Support digital locks, including access changes, new and closed cases, and user support
  • Maintain ongoing contact with suppliers and contractual partners related to technology, agreements, and quality

About You

Qualifications

  • At least a 3-year high school education with a focus on technology, health care, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Experience working as a welfare technician or in a similar entry-level role for at least 1 year
  • Familiarity with working in a support flow based on the ITIL structure
  • Experienced in contact with employees, care recipients, and suppliers

We consider it an advantage if you have additional training in technology or IT, but it is not a requirement for the position.
