We are now looking for several experienced Embedded Software Developers to join our teams in Gothenburg. With us, you will have the chance to develop and implement high-quality software solutions for various applications and platforms across several exciting industries such as defense, space, telecom, automotive, medical technology, and consumer products.

In your role as an Embedded Software Developer, you will: 

• Develop and implement software solutions for embedded systems 
• Work in cross-functional teams with both software and hardware 
• Be involved in the entire development process, from design to implementation and testing 
• Participate in innovative projects both in-house and at our clients depending on the nature of the assignment 

At AFRY, we also offer flexibility through the possibility of remote work, where the nature of the project and client requirements allow it.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are an engaged team player with a strong interest and competence in embedded systems.

To thrive and succeed in the role, you have several years of experience in programming in C or C++ within embedded development, as well as a good understanding of real-time systems – preferably in combination with experience in Embedded Linux.

You also have:

• Knowledge of Python

• Familiarity with agile methods, such as Scrum

• The ability to quickly adapt to new technical challenges and project environments

• Experience working closely with both colleagues and clients

It is advantageous if you also have experience in:

• Firmware development

• Driver development

• Tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and CI/CD

For this position, it is a requirement that you are proficient in both Swedish and English, as our assignments often involve contact with Swedish clients. Some assignments may also be security classified, which means you need to hold citizenship from a nation affiliated with NATO or the EU.
