Do you want to work with advanced technology where software, electronics, and real machine functionality meet – and where you get to test and verify complete systems? Parker Hannifin in Mölnlycke is now looking for a System Test Engineer who wants to help ensure the quality of our innovative IQAN product family – smart, safe, and user-friendly control systems that make heavy vehicles safer, more energy-efficient, and sustainable.

With us, you will work closely with the development of products where you test and verify how software and electronics interact in real machine systems. The solutions are used in everything from material handling and forestry to construction machinery worldwide.

What you will do with us

IQAN is our electronic control system for mobile applications, developed with a focus on real-time performance, functional safety, and user-friendliness. The system is a complete ecosystem of control units, displays, and software tools used by machine manufacturers worldwide. In Mölnlycke, we develop both hardware and software for these systems and work cross-functionally in close collaboration between development, testing, and quality.

As a System Test Engineer, you will be a key person in ensuring that our products work in reality – not just in code. You will work with testing and verification at the system level and analyze how software and electronics interact in a complete system before the products reach the market. You will work closely with software developers, hardware developers, and other test engineers to ensure robust and quality-assured solutions that meet high demands for reliability and functional safety.

Your main tasks include:

· Planning, executing, and analyzing system tests of software and electronics

· Developing, building, and maintaining test equipment and test rigs to test our control systems

· Analyzing test results from automated tests and contributing to improvements in the testing process

· Working with integration tests between software, electronics, and communication interfaces such as CAN

· Contributing to the development of test strategies, test methods, and verification processes

· Identifying, troubleshooting, and analyzing bugs and collaborating with the development team to resolve them

· Ensuring that testing and documentation meet high quality and industry standards

The work is varied and requires both technical understanding and problem-solving skills – you will often need to analyze how a system should best be tested and verified.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with an engineering degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field, and who has experience in software testing in technical systems. You have a good technical understanding of both software and electronics and thrive in a role where you work closely with real hardware and system integration.

As a person, you are analytical, curious, and meticulous, with an eye for quality and detail. You enjoy understanding how entire systems work and are driven to solve technical problems together with others. Collaboration comes naturally to you, and you thrive in an environment where developers, testers, and other technical specialists work closely together to create robust and reliable solutions.

We prefer that you have experience in system testing or software testing and a basic understanding of electronics and embedded systems. If you have also worked with test automation or automated testing, that is an advantage. Experience with communication protocols such as CAN or Ethernet and working in technical development environments, such as in industry or vehicle-related operations, is also valuable.

It is a merit if you have experience with safety-critical systems or have worked with functional safety or cybersecurity. You also need to be fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
