Job Responsibilities
We are now looking for a system technician for the Technical Infrastructure/IT Operations unit. In this role, you will work with the operation, development, and troubleshooting of the Rescue Service Storgöteborg's IT infrastructure, with a particular focus on networks and security.
The work includes network operations and network design in a Cisco environment, including switches, firewalls, and wireless networks. You will work with segmentation, redundancy, and troubleshooting, as well as be responsible for documenting network and infrastructure architecture. The role also involves work with patching and vulnerability management at the server and network level, as well as monitoring security measures such as logging, monitoring, and incident procedures.
As a system technician, you will handle escalated cases within both IT operations and operational technology and participate in assignments and projects related to internal development as needed.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you work in a structured and methodical manner and have a good ability to analyze and manage complex technical environments. You are service-oriented, collaborative, and thrive in a role with many points of contact. The role requires you to communicate technical issues clearly and professionally.
In this role, you will be an important part of the Rescue Service Storgöteborg's work to ensure a robust, secure, and accessible IT environment.
You need to have
- Higher education in IT or equivalent as assessed by the employer
- Several years of experience in system operations in production-related environments
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Driver's license B
Preferred if you have
- Experience with Microsoft 365
- Knowledge in application and cloud security

Employment Scope
Employment type: Permanent employment starting with a probationary period

On-call duty is included in the position, and travel may occur within the federation.
