About the Company

GKN Aerospace Sweden is part of GKN Aerospace, which manufactures engine components, aircraft structures, cabin windows, wiring, and much more for many of the world's aircraft. The companies in the Aerospace division that work with parts for aircraft engines form Engines, and at the facility in Trollhättan, advanced parts for engines for aircraft and space rockets are developed and manufactured. They also work with engine maintenance.

GKN Aerospace has production facilities in Trollhättan, Kongsberg (Norway), Mexico, and the USA. They also have an engineering office in Bangalore, India, and offices in Stockholm (Public Affairs) and Gothenburg. The headquarters for Engines is located in Trollhättan.

Your ResponsibilitiesAs a PLM specialist, you will play a key role in translating our PLM strategy from theory to practical reality. The role is operational and close to the business, focusing on supporting ongoing projects and ensuring that new working methods are implemented in the organization.

You will work closely with project managers, development teams, and the rest of the organization to integrate our PLM logic into daily operations.

Typical tasks included in the role are:

• Ensure that the new PLM strategy is used and followed in ongoing projects

• Support and guide users in the new working methods in our PLM platform

• Identify, document, and suggest improvements within processes and systems for future implementation

• Contribute to establishing a coherent digital process from development to production and further in the lifecycle

• Ensure effective working methods in complex environments with external partners

• Actively contribute to the organization's goals of shorter lead times and lower costs through increased digitization

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with experience working closely with operations and who thrives in a role where you can combine structure, analysis, and communication. You have the ability to see the big picture while being able to translate strategies into concrete working methods.

We believe you have:

• Solid experience with agile working methods

• Deep knowledge of PLM tools, preferably Siemens Teamcenter

• Understanding of working in regulated environments

• Experience with project work and accustomed to reporting status on assigned tasks

• Experience collaborating with external partners in complex project environments

• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

• Analytical, structured, and meticulous

• A team player with a good overall view and understanding of how different parts affect each other

Additional Information

• The position requires at least 50% on-site presence in Trollhättan

• Business travel within Sweden may occur
