In the role of volunteer coordinator, your main tasks will be to plan and implement activities for children and families, recruit volunteers, and coordinate work with Save the Children's local associations and partners. The job includes both strategic planning and coordination as well as operational work within activities where we meet our target group.

You will plan and implement activities for and with children together with colleagues, volunteers, and partners. The job includes implementing internal routines and methods, following up on operations, and developing the activities together with children, parents, and volunteers. Additionally, you will contribute to the recruitment, training, and coordination of volunteers.

We are now looking for an engaged and structured person who wants to take a key role in coordinating Save the Children's breakfast club in collaboration with Kungsskolan – focusing on safety, participation, and quality.

As a volunteer coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, restarting, and establishing a breakfast club at Kungsskolan in Örkelljunga. The school is centrally located and has students in grades 7 to 9.

Your main tasks:

  • Coordinate various actors, such as staff at Kungsskolan, breakfast suppliers, and volunteers who contribute to the implementation of the breakfast club.
  • Recruit, train, and guide volunteers who staff the breakfast club together with you, once a week.
  • In consultation with the business developer, collaborate with Save the Children's local association in the work of recruiting volunteers.
  • Be responsible for ongoing planning, follow-up, action plans, and risk assessments related to the breakfast club.
  • Ensure the implementation of regular surveys and follow-ups among children and others involved in the operation.

ARE YOU OUR NEW COLLEAGUE?

To succeed in this role, we see that you as a candidate have the following qualifications:

  •  Higher education in social work, pedagogy, public health science, or equivalent experience obtained in other ways.
  • Experience from a similar position
  • Experience from associations and interest in democratic processes
  • Experience in recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers in their engagement.
  • Experience in planning, follow-up, and development of operations
  • Experience in coordinating work.
  • Very good Swedish in speech and writing
  • Good digital skills in Office and Exchange and administrative programs.
  • Local anchoring and experience in meeting children in the upper secondary school age is an advantage.
  • Experience collaborating with various actors from different sectors of society
  • Experience from associations and interest in democratic processes

We would like you to have a local anchoring in Örkelljunga and experience in meeting children in upper secondary school age. You work relationally, proactively, and have continuous presence in the operation. As a person, you have an unpretentious approach in your collaboration with others and act as part of the team, including others. You are confident and dare to stand up for your own opinions and values and have the ability to separate the issue from the person. Furthermore, you have the ability to see what needs to be prioritized, are efficient, and use resources to achieve results in the best possible way. Additionally, you easily find alternative solutions to arising problems.

The role is a fixed-term employment at 50% until 20251231 with the workplace in Örkelljunga, alternatively Helsingborg. Start September 1, 2025 or by agreement.
