The County Hospital Somatics coordinates the specialized somatic care in Region Västernorrland. The somatic area consists of eleven county hospital operations. These operations are conducted at three hospitals: Sundsvall, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik, as well as several outpatient clinics located in various towns in the region. The area has approximately 2,400 employees.

The Orthopedics area is part of the county hospital somatics and conducts both planned and emergency services, focused on orthopedic injuries and diseases. This includes the Orthopedic Technical Department and the Care Hotel at Sundsvall Hospital. The county operation works with a common value base as a guiding principle.

In our orthopedic departments, you will meet patients of various ages. Nurse for Night Shift at Orthopedic Department 14, Sundsvall

Job Responsibilities

The responsibilities of a nurse in orthopedics largely consist of

• Care before and after surgery
• Pain management
• Mobilization and monitoring.

You are part of a multiprofessional team. We work closely with a care team that includes doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.

In the care team, it is important that you see your role in ensuring that the workgroup functions and develops. In addition to direct patient work, we are all involved in developing and improving care. Our goal is always to start from the patient's needs. The work primarily involves night shifts.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who

• Is a licensed nurse
• Has relevant work experience in the field
• Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

It is an advantage for the position if you

• Have additional language skills
