The Hematology Department 2 belongs to the Primary Care Area South. In our ward, we primarily care for individuals with hematological diseases but also those with general medical diagnoses. Here, we treat patients with, among other things, chemotherapy and antibody treatments, antibiotics, blood products, and a range of other medications as well as nursing measures. Our team consists of nursing assistants, nurses, doctors, paramedics, and cleaning staff.

We are now looking for a nurse for the Hematology Department in Sundsvall. The position is a permanent employment with a start date to be agreed upon.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse with us in hematology, your responsibilities will include caring for patients with general medical and hematological diseases. You will:

• manage medications
• provide nursing care
• conduct risk assessments
• perform follow-ups
• manage nutrition

We also handle chemotherapy after specific training and education. For patients with hematological diseases who suffer from sepsis, we have direct admissions. We value person-centered care and good teamwork among our various competencies to optimize patient treatment and rehabilitation.

The work schedule includes rotation between day/evening shifts and two out of five weekends. By agreement, night shifts may occur.

We are looking for someone who

• is a licensed nurse

It is advantageous if you

• have worked as a nursing assistant and/or nurse in a medical department, such as hematology and/or oncology.
• have experience with central lines, medications, and chemotherapy as described above
• have experience with our current journal system NCS Vårdportalen and BoS
