We are now looking for a nursing assistant for the outpatient operations within surgery and urology!

The area of operations (VO) surgery, orthopedics, ENT intensive and perioperative care in Ystad consists of outpatient operations as well as surgery and urology departments and planned surgical operations in Ystad. In the outpatient clinics, we work in teams with the patient in focus. We receive patients from primary care, inpatients, and also from other hospitals in Region Skåne.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We now welcome a nursing assistant to our outpatient units within surgery and urology.

In the role of nursing assistant with us, you will assist in examinations together with doctors. You will handle everything related to the patients such as reception, information, and sample collection. On the urology side, there is also the possibility of having your own clinic some days a week. As a nursing assistant with us, you take on significant responsibility and have the opportunity to develop in your role. It is important for us that patients feel secure during their visit.

The clinic is open Monday to Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a trained nursing assistant with a focus on emergency care/healthcare according to the previous program structure or are a trained nursing assistant within the new program structure who has studied all specializations. Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required. Previous work in outpatient operations and knowledge of Melior and PASiS is meritorious for the position.

You exude calmness and have an easy time seeing what the individual person needs during their visit. Additionally, you are flexible and enjoy working in more than one clinic. We value that you have a good approach, a high service mentality, and good social skills. You take your own initiatives for improvements that help the work in the unit develop, and you have a desire to develop both your professional role and your knowledge within your field. Furthermore, you have a holistic view with a good ability to prioritize and collaborate. It is important for the team that you can see the whole picture in the work and that you are a good team player. Personal suitability is highly valued.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

As of July 1, 2023, the title nursing assistant became a protected professional title. This means that you will need proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant within healthcare and social services. If you currently have a permanent position as a nursing assistant and are offered a new position, you can retain your title as a nursing assistant until June 30, 2033. In the event of an interview/employment, you will need to present proof of the protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were permanently employed on July 1, 2023. If you do not currently have a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare or are covered by the transitional provisions, it means that the title in your employment contract will be care assistant and not nursing assistant.
