About the role

As a Software Developer, you will work with various types of radio systems and communication. You will work with the software that integrates into radio devices for different aircraft and systems. This may involve voice communication with civilian airspace or military command and control. There are also tactical data links where sensors help create a situational awareness. Software and systems for ground communication are also developed to enable communication between the aircraft and technicians on the ground.

As a Software Developer, you will be part of a team of 11 people working with systems and software related to various radio and communication systems. The team has many ongoing projects and more exciting projects coming up, hence the need to expand the workforce. Together, you will work to meet various customer requirements as well as civilian and NATO requirements. You will handle procurement of radio devices from subcontractors, system safety analyses, installation documentation, configuration documentation, testing and verification, and assessing device durability.

Examples of tasks for you as a Software Developer:

• Programming in Pascal, writing functional code and test code, and documenting the process
• Working methodically according to the coding process and developing real-time systems
• Conducting tests in test rigs, sending approved tests and codes to flight trials
• Collaborating closely with Systems Engineers to ensure the code works in the radio system

Mandatory requirements for the position:

• Relevant post-secondary degree in IT/Computer Engineering/System Science/Equivalent
• Work experience in programming/software development
• Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Citizenship requirements due to work in a classified security area

Desirable qualifications for the position:

• Strong technical interest and interest in aviation
• Knowledge of Pascal
• Knowledge of Python/Matlab
