Capio Lundby Specialistsjukhus is located at Wieselgrensplatsen, less than 10 minutes by public transport from central Gothenburg. Through a comprehensive care agreement with the Västra Götalandsregionen, we provide specialist healthcare in dialysis/kidney medicine, surgery, medicine, psychiatry, ophthalmology, and ear-nose-throat. In addition, we have a surgical unit for day surgery. We are approximately 220 employees who together form a small and efficient organization with high competence, where decisions are made as close to the patient as possible. The hospital is characterized by a consistent focus on quality and a strong patient focus with good continuity and high availability.

We are now looking for an engaged surgeon to join the team at the Surgical Unit!

Here you will have a varied job in a forward-looking organization where we constantly strive to improve both care and patient experience. Our unit is characterized by short waiting times, optimized flows, and a warm welcome for each individual patient. This is clearly reflected in the patients' recurring evaluations of us, where the unit consistently receives high ratings!

As a surgeon with us, you will be a central part of the Surgical Unit, working alongside an experienced and multidisciplinary team consisting of surgeons, nurses, nursing assistants, biomedical analysts, surgical coordinators, and medical secretaries. In total, we are 20 colleagues in the unit, and we meet patients every day seeking treatment for general surgical conditions such as hernias, gallbladder issues, hemorrhoids, and varicose veins.

You will work both with assessment visits, examinations, and outpatient surgeries at the clinic, as well as with larger procedures at the hospital's Day Surgery unit. In addition to daily patient work, you will also be part of a team that works process-oriented to improve the clinic's flows.

We are looking for you who are a specialist doctor in surgery – preferably with expertise in proctology and colorectal surgery!

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. You are positive, self-assured, and take your own initiatives. For us, it is important that you are engaged and interested in driving care forward and have a holistic view with the patient in focus.

We value your ability to structure and prioritize work effectively. We have a high patient flow and work closely together in the team. Therefore, it is also important that you have good collaboration skills, a pedagogical approach, and are flexible.

For permanent employment, we apply a 6-month probationary period.
