We are currently looking for a Mechanical Designer for a long-term consulting assignment with a leading Swedish industrial company – where you will work on the overall development of high-tech products in close collaboration with production.

About the role

An experienced engineering team based in Åsbro and Jonsered is now looking to strengthen the team with another engineer. You will contribute to the development of innovative solutions for the construction industry, focusing on products such as wall saws, wire saws, and drilling motors. The team is responsible for the entire product, including both mechanics and electronics.

The role involves close collaboration with the testing department, purchasing, and manufacturing, where you will be involved from early concept to launch and further development of the products.

A major advantage of working in Åsbro is that the assembly of the products also takes place on-site, which creates short communication paths and close collaboration between technology and production.

Responsibilities

- Design of mechanical parts and systems

- Creation and evaluation of prototypes

- Close collaboration with electronics and software teams

- Industrialization of parts and products

- Cross-functional collaboration with suppliers, production, testing, and purchasing

Qualifications:

- Several years of experience in product development for manufacturing

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechatronics or mechanical engineering

- Good knowledge of SolidWorks

- Experience working in PLM systems

- Excellent proficiency in English and Swedish, both spoken and written

Desirable experience:

- Knowledge of Teamcenter

- Experience with Catia V5

- Experience in electronics, software, cabling, connectors, and electrical systems

- Familiarity with various manufacturing methods such as machining, injection molding, and extrusion
