We are currently in an exciting development phase where we are improving the conditions for employees and managers to provide the best possible support to children, young people, and foster families in contact with us through several parallel initiatives.
As part of this development work, a new management group has been created within the area of operations where you will have a central and important role. Together, you will shape the new organization and develop and quality assure overarching processes within the area of operations.
As a business developer, you will be part of the area of operations for children, young people, and families within the department of Individual and Family Care. The area currently consists of six units: reception unit, children's unit, child and youth unit, youth unit, foster care unit, and family support unit. The area also includes an administrative team.

Your role
As a business developer, you will support and lead the area of operations' work with quality management systems, development, and follow-up. You will be part of the area of operations' management group consisting of six unit managers and one area manager. Your role involves leading and participating in projects, working with processes within governance and management, change management, and actively supporting managers in their tasks to achieve set goals. You will also be an important link in strengthening collaboration both internally and externally.
The role of business developer also includes:
- participating in the development work with management systems for systematic quality work (2c8)
- taking notes and being a presenter in management group meetings
- preparing materials for operational plans and service statements
- coordinating and conducting meetings and workshops
- environmental monitoring
- analyzing, planning, developing, and following up the area's quality work
- analyzing data and producing statistics and based on that proposing and initiating organizational changes and areas for development
- preparing presentations that are either held by you or managers
- capturing initiatives for new digital solutions and innovations
- participating in relevant networks both within and outside Stockholm City
- working related to the transition to the new social services law
- driving digitalization initiatives to streamline the operations' working methods and processes
- assisting and supporting unit managers in following up on self-controls
Based on your role and good insight into the area, you will also, in collaboration with the area manager and unit managers, be responsible for operational follow-ups in Stockholm City's operational follow-up system (ILS) and respond to referrals and surveys.
Your competence and experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- a degree in social work
- several years of current experience in public authority work within children and youth
- very good writing and language skills in Swedish
- good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications
It is meritorious if you have:
- several years of leadership experience in the field
- experience in driving overarching change work
- experience working in ILS or another similar operational follow-up system
- high digital competence
To succeed and thrive in the role, we see that you are structured, driven, and have good analytical skills. You are comfortable presenting in a pedagogical way to both large and small audiences. The position involves a combination of independent work and collaboration, which places high demands on your initiative and collaborative skills both internally and externally. You have a holistic view and think long-term. You are development-oriented and see solutions rather than problems.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability and your qualities.
