Are you ready to make a difference? The Legal Department is responsible for the legal governance of the agency's operations and for driving guiding decisions related to the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's activities. The Legal Department is also responsible for coordinating the agency's regulatory development work and for providing legal support to certain departments. The department also serves as a staff function to the board and the director general on legal matters.
The Legal Department needs more lawyers who can think strategically and creatively and who want to help develop and refine the regulations behind the 21 million decisions made by the Swedish Social Insurance Agency each year, making them clearer and more predictable. Above all, it is about using your knowledge and experience to make a difference for individuals and society as a whole.
We are now looking for lawyers in the area of business law.
Responsibilities and Tasks
As a business lawyer, you provide legal support in matters concerning the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's business relationships. The work is aimed at providing legal advice to the agency's procurement unit in connection with procurements, but also to the IT department, the Management Support and Analysis Department, the HR department, and the Communications Department regarding the agency's contractual relationships. You will work on the preparation and interpretation of contracts and other matters related to ongoing contract management, with a particular emphasis on IT contracts. You will also represent the agency in court when necessary in connection with reviews under the Public Procurement Act and other processes, such as contract disputes. You will also participate in projects and feasibility studies where your expertise is needed.
The position suits you if you want and can work independently. Through your work, you create conditions for uniform and correct legal application at the Swedish Social Insurance Agency. We are looking for someone who
- has a law degree
- is qualified as a notary or has experience from other qualified legal work that can be assessed as equivalent
- has several years of experience working with business law issues from a law firm, government agency, or equivalent
- has good knowledge of data protection, transparency, and confidentiality, as well as administrative law
- has very good knowledge of contract law, especially IT-related contracts and procurement law
- appreciates and has a very good ability to collaborate with others to achieve common goals
- is stable and has the ability to create trust with various partners
- acts on their own initiative and takes responsibility for results with high quality
- has a systematic and meticulous working method
- can understand and analyze complex issues
- has a very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.
It is an advantage if you
- have experience from higher courts in general or administrative courts, e.g., as an assessor, judicial secretary, or rapporteur
- have experience working in the Government Offices of Sweden.
- have experience in security law and intellectual property law.
