Main Responsibilities and Tasks

We are a developing clinic and we continuously educate ourselves.

For us, it is important to stay updated; we find challenges and innovative thinking exciting, all in a balanced mix with curiosity about the latest technology and treatment methods. We work in a highly delegated manner and in a positive spirit where teamwork and the development of the business are natural elements. Therefore, you will utilize your entire skill set while the position also requires creativity, empathy, and a sense of service.

The position includes, among other things:

• Assisting in examinations and treatments
• Working in the sterilization area and reception
• Working with FRAMM, outreach activities, prophylaxis, and managing your own patients is also common.

We find challenges and innovative thinking exciting and strive to engage all employees in the clinic's development work. We have about 15-20 employees working at a clinic with two service points. We have a newly renovated clinic with 7 treatment rooms in Tanumshede and a smaller clinic in the coastal community of Hamburgsund. Tanum municipality is an attractive tourist destination, and during the summer months, the population increases significantly, which means that we function as an emergency dental care clinic during the summer. The clinic's opening hours are 07:00-16:30 Monday to Friday. The clinics are located on the beautiful west coast, with the Tanumshede unit near deep forests and lakes, and the Hamburgsund unit overlooking the sea.

We are a VFU clinic and accept students from the dental and dental hygiene programs at the University of Gothenburg. Supervision/assistance of students may also be part of the position.

Qualifications and Profile

• Trained dental nurse with an approved education from MYH (Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education)
• Interest in both pediatric and adult dental care
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
• Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively and wisely
• Ability to present a stable and calm impression even when there is a lot to do
• Ability to collaborate and relate to others in a responsive manner

If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually tailored mentoring program during your initial period. The mentoring program is part of our two-year development program for newly qualified dental nurses.

About the Recruitment Process

If you are not already employed with us, you will be contacted by a recruiter from the HR unit for an interview. After the application period ends, the clinic manager will select candidates and invite them for an interview at the clinic. Folktandvården Västra Götalandsregionen conducts background checks in case of suspicion and criminal records before employment.
