Within the social care administration, about 1200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, disability services, social psychiatry, and individual and family care.

Disability services and social psychiatry is one of three departments within the social care administration. The department is responsible for LSS accommodations, daily activities, housing support, short-term stays, and personal assistance. We are about 250 employees who, with great commitment, work with the individual's needs at the center and based on a belief in the individual's own abilities. We work purposefully to ensure that our operations have high competence and quality.

Within the department, we work for collaboration between workplaces and competence development for our employees. Therefore, we work in collaborative groups where we help each other meet the needs in our operations and share knowledge and ideas between workplaces. This means that you as a future employee will have a regular workplace where you work the majority of your shifts, and some shifts may be carried out at another workplace.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Being a personal assistant is a qualified and responsible profession that requires personal maturity, flexibility, and attention. The job involves supporting users who have been granted personal assistance in their daily lives based on their needs.

As a personal assistant, it is important to provide safe and good care, support in daily life, and a stimulating leisure time. Interventions that are tailored to the individual's conditions and needs to achieve good living conditions.

In the assignment, you will be helpful where the disability sets limits, which may include various activities, household chores, transfers, and personal hygiene. The work can sometimes be both challenging and physically demanding, which requires you to be secure in yourself. The job also involves a significant amount of care work.

Within the framework of the assignment, you may be expected to work day, evening, night, and weekend shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is interested in working with individuals who have physical/intellectual disabilities, is responsible with a respectful approach and attitude, and can work independently. We would like you to have good collaboration skills, work based on the individual's needs and resources.

Requirements:

• To work as a substitute with us, you need to be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in Swedish in speech and writing (approved in basic Swedish for compulsory school grade 9 or SFI D)

Meritorious:

• Studied nursing program, child and leisure program, or other educational training that the employer deems equivalent.
• Experience in personal assistance
• Driving license B.
