JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Kallebäck's residence is part of the Department of Housing and Homelessness, Social Administration Southwest.

At Kallebäck's residence, we work with support and care interventions for individuals aged 50 and older with extensive support needs combined with substance abuse and mental health issues. The housing form has no sobriety requirement. The goal is for those living with us to achieve long-term housing and reduce the negative consequences of their harmful use for improved quality of life. You will encounter individuals with challenging behavior daily, so it is important that you feel comfortable being there for them.

As one of our fantastic support pedagogues is moving on to new challenges and we are strengthening our methodological work, we are now looking for two support pedagogues.

As a support pedagogue, you are organized under the unit manager and have a pedagogical and coordinating function for the floor's planning, documentation, follow-up, and methodological guidance. You lead and distribute the daily work and contribute to the development of the organization. As a support pedagogue, you are a role model for the staff, which consists of nursing assistants and support assistants, in the pedagogical work, and your primary task is to teach and convey knowledge and working methods based on evidence-based methods to create independence in the workgroups.

You will have close collaboration with your support pedagogue colleague on the floor as well as other support pedagogues and other actors within the unit. You will be a guarantor for the unit's quality and development work by methodologically guiding care staff on issues related to response, methods, and social documentation. Through influence, engagement, and learning, you create an efficient operation with high quality. As part of ensuring the organization's quality work, you are responsible for developing methodological work, following up, and having a holistic view of the organization.

Working hours are scheduled for daytime, Monday to Friday. We apply flexible employment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a post-secondary education as a support pedagogue or social pedagogue, or alternatively another post-secondary education (university education / YH education) that the employer assesses as equivalent. You should have previous experience working with harmful use/dependency and mental health issues. Experience working with individuals with challenging behavior is an advantage. You should have good computer skills and be comfortable working with various IT support and have a very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.

Training in Motivational Interviewing (MI), ESL - An Independent Life, and Low-Arousal Approach is a requirement. Knowledge of Suicide Prevention and Harm Reduction is advantageous. A driver's license is advantageous.

You have good knowledge of social documentation and have the ability to educate and support colleagues in this in a pedagogical way. You ensure that the work is completed on time and follow up on the results.
