About the workplace

Vision i Väst is a residential care home (HVB) designed as a smaller, family-like accommodation with few places and a close-knit staff group. We offer placements for boys aged 13-17 years with a safe and well-functioning structure based on individual needs and circumstances. We work intensively with a small group of youths and utilize evidence-based methods and approaches in our work with each individual.

About YOU

We are looking for someone who is a qualified social worker/social educator or has an education that the employer deems equivalent. You should have at least 2-4 years of experience in similar work with the target group and be personally suitable.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of social worker/social educator with coordination responsibility, you will be responsible for supporting the staff group and creating and maintaining a good structure and environment for the resident youths. You will be part of a team where the common goal is to support and motivate the youths in various everyday activities to ensure a functioning daily situation as well as a meaningful and stimulating leisure time. You will be responsible for the youths' health, schooling, and activities, as well as maintaining weekly plans. The coordination responsibility entails additional tasks in the form of regular documentation based on BBIC, contact with schools and health care, contact with social services, counseling support, and everyday practical tasks.

You should work according to the organization's methods and be well acquainted with what it means to work therapeutically with youths. Furthermore, you will work based on implementation plans, set goals, methods, quality requirements, and other guidelines.

The Position

The position is full-time and scheduled during daytime hours.

A permanent employment will be preceded by a 6-month probationary period.

You will need to submit a police record of suspicion and criminal history.
