About us

Väsby Municipal Preschools (VKF) consists of seven preschools with approximately 900 children and 150 employees. The preschools have development groups in various areas, collaborate with Uppsala University, and host internship students. All our preschools have been awarded the "School for Sustainable Development" designation by the Swedish National Agency for Education. Our focus areas are language and sustainability.

The preschools are divided into different areas of the municipality: central, western, and eastern. Eastern Väsby includes the preschools Borgen, Bryggan, and Spargrisen, which are close to nature.

About the position

In your role as a preschool assistant, you will have a pedagogical responsibility for the organization together with the rest of your team. You will work according to the curriculum assignment and the municipality's goals. You will be involved and share responsibility for the systematic and pedagogical quality work. With a present and active approach, you will work to build good relationships with children, families, and staff. You will contribute to the development of the organization based on results and set goals. An important part is also to work to promote diversity and an intercultural approach in the operations.

This position is a temporary contract. We will request a criminal record check for the final candidate.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a preschool assistant degree
• Has very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Can work independently in the systematic quality work.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working with children in need of special support within the NPF spectrum.
• Experience and training in language and knowledge-developing methods
• Completed training in TAKK
• Can use various digital tools fluently.

As a person, you are structured but can prioritize and adapt when needed. In more pressured or stressful situations, you are objective and act constructively. You take the initiative in social contexts and find it easy to create new relationships. To succeed, you also need to be solution-oriented by taking initiative and working to find solutions to emerging problems.

Interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period. The position may be filled before the application period ends.
