At the Social Services Department, we work together to help residents of Enköping who are in difficult and vulnerable life situations.

We have close management and actively work on developing the organization. As the basis of our approach, we have chosen to have motivational interviews (MI) for those we are here to help. A part of our management structure is working in cross-functional teams between departments. With around 160 employees in the department, we have good conditions for well-functioning internal collaboration.

Job Description

Welcome to a cutting-edge Social Services Department, a team working with a reception function where morale is high and the work is important!

We are looking for a social worker for our reception within the social services department in Enköping, who will work together with colleagues in the department to handle incoming cases. The work includes preliminary assessment and evaluation of child and adult cases, advice, support, and service to citizens. A part of the work is to be the face outward and educate and inform about social services to other authorities and individuals. You will collaborate with our outpatient care to provide early interventions without investigation when applicable. You will work with early interventions through collaboration in SSPF.

The department consists of the Reception with 10 social workers and 1 team leader, and the Field Operations with 5 field workers (including coordinators). The Reception has a mix of experience and great commitment to the work, always ready to share their experiences with colleagues and curious about how we can develop the work together. We are facing an exciting work ahead based on the upcoming new Social Services Act. We work systemically in everyday life in close collaboration with outpatient care to make it easy for citizens to access the support of the Social Services Department.

We provide good introduction for our new employees, where newcomers have a mentor in their work group, and we work with case management as needed in our cases. We offer training and skills development where all employees are given the opportunity to attend Freda training and MI basic training. MI is part of our values-based approach, and we regularly practice MI together.

We use the LifeCare system.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has another academic education validated as equivalent. Experience in reception work with both adults and children is meritorious. We prefer if you have Freda training and documented knowledge in MI, as well as experience working in systems. We use LifeCare. The work requires you to be flexible, quickly adapt to new questions, and find your way in the social services mission.
