We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference for children and young people by creating a safe environment for them. We have a good collaboration with schools and the police, and we can offer various interventions based on the individual's needs. The children and family unit consists of a reception function, an investigation group, a group for monitoring interventions, and a group for family law and foster homes. We also have two family centers and a family team. We are a group that helps each other and has a direct and open communication. We offer process supervision, wellness grants, vacation exchange, and the opportunity to work from home.

Your Mission

You will work on following up on interventions for children, young people, and their parents, or investigating the needs of children and families. You will have a varied and exciting job in handling various types of cases, and we work according to BBIC. Our goal is to maintain high quality in our social work. You will be part of an intervention group of three colleagues and have close collaboration with other social workers in the unit, which consists of a total of 17 employees, two coordinators, and a unit manager.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and preferably previous experience in social work. It is advantageous if you have education or experience in BBIC (children's needs in focus), but it is not a requirement as we work with career development, which is a competence enhancement initiative for those new to the profession. You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing and have experience in documentation. As the position involves travel and home visits, you need to have a valid driver's license.

As a person, you are good at empathizing and understanding others' perspectives and situations. You are calm and composed in demanding situations and focus on the right things. When needed, you can be flexible and have the ability to adapt and find solutions. You have good collaboration skills and also enjoy independently organizing, planning, and creating structure in your work.

Other Information

A probationary period may be applicable at the beginning of the position. If there is a potential interview, a criminal record check will be conducted. In consultation with the manager, there is the possibility of working from home part of the time.
