IT Management Leader

Gävle Port is the heart of import and export in Central Sweden and southern Norrland. Here you will find the largest container terminal on the east coast, and within the port area, around 40 different companies are established.

Gävle Hamn AB is owned by Gävle Municipality and has the task of managing and developing land and infrastructure, directing traffic on land and water, ensuring the operation of the energy port, and working for good security, a sustainable port, and a sustainable freight transport system.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As the IT Management Leader at Gävle Port, you will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and developing the overall management work related to Gävle Port's IT services and systems, as well as supporting the company's departments in management issues. The goal is to ensure that the systems support the organization's needs and goals in an efficient and sustainable manner.

The position is newly established, which means that the assignment will be shaped over time and consist of some development work.

You will be the key person that Gävle Port needs to maintain effective and purposeful governance of IT management.

Main areas of responsibility will include:

Responsible for the management plan
Develop and maintain a management plan that describes goals, activities, resources, and budget for IT management.
Ensure that the plan aligns with the organization's needs and strategies.

Ensure the systems' lifecycle management
Monitor and lead the work with the development, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning of systems.
Plan for upgrades and improvements in collaboration with the business and IT suppliers.
Assist in project management and planning for the implementation of new IT systems and updates of existing systems, as well as being the IT responsible and IT representative in projects and development projects within IT.

Coordination between the business and IT
Act as a bridge between the business and Gävle Municipality's IT department.
Governance and follow-up of management work.
Lead management meetings and ensure that management activities are carried out according to plan.

Ensuring quality and security
Ensure that IT systems meet requirements for performance and availability.
The role requires both technical understanding and the ability to coordinate the business's needs with IT opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying have:

Relevant academic education or equivalent work experience that we assess as equivalent.
At least 3 years of experience in operational work within the management of IT systems.
At least a couple of years of experience working with continuity work.
Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form.
Driver's license.

The employment is placed in a security class, which means that Swedish citizenship is required for this position. Approved security clearance with background check will be conducted before employment begins.
