Assistant for 17-year-old girl with multiple disabilities

Alma Assistans is the dedicated company that, in collaboration with the customer, creates personal assistance. We work closely with the customer and know that good relationships are the key to a well-functioning assistance. We operate throughout Sweden with our head office in Uppsala and local offices in Gävle, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Helsingborg, Jönköping, and Växjö.

We are now looking to expand our team of assistants and are therefore looking for someone who is passionate about helping and has good communication skills. You are attentive and have an easy time understanding and taking care of the customer's needs.

The work requires you to be independent and have good initiative. It is beneficial if you still have a childlike spirit that can help the girl have an inclusive and meaningful daily life.

The girl is 17 years old and has multiple disabilities, which means she needs assistance and support in all kinds of situations at home, school, and during leisure activities, etc. Your workplace is wherever the girl is. She is in a wheelchair, and most transfers are done with a lift, for which you will receive training.

Her care needs are extensive, requiring you to assist with all hygiene, showering, dressing and undressing, feeding through a "button/PEG", training such as stretching, and other activities such as hydrotherapy.

Previous experience as a family assistant is preferred. Familiarity with handling various aids such as wheelchairs, lifts, and tube feeding is also a plus.

We are primarily looking for someone who can commit to a fixed schedule, accompanying her to school or staying at home during breaks, as well as being available to fill in at other times of the day when needed. A driver's license is required to transport her to and from school.
