General Practitioner Specialist for Vännäs Health Center

Region Västerbotten conducts extensive primary care operations throughout Västerbotten County, meeting patients of all ages in urban and rural areas. With 33 health centers and clinics, we are where you are. We actively engage in research and development, utilizing medical findings to provide high-quality care where the patient is involved. Primary Care West is a base unit with four health centers in both urban and rural areas, spread across four municipalities: Vindeln, Vännäs, Bjurholm, and Umeå. Good connections with local and county public transport enable commuting to, from, and between our facilities.

The health centers within the base unit have close collaboration, creating an exciting and varied mission for specialists in general medicine!

Vännäs Health Center, beautifully located by the Ume River about 3 miles from Umeå city, is a brand new and modern facility. The health center employs around forty staff members and serves approximately 8,000 listed patients. In Vännäs, we work in different teams, conduct active work environment initiatives, and have good cooperation with the municipality's various healthcare facilities. JOB DESCRIPTION

As a specialist doctor with us, you contribute knowledge and dedication that make people feel secure. The specialty of general medicine is characterized by the patient encounter throughout life. The competence includes meeting people of all ages with all kinds of health-related issues, and independently assessing and treating them. This also includes experiences and discomfort in patients not caused by definable diseases. In general medical specialist work, you follow an individual's various health problems over time, and in assessing health problems, you often need to consider the person's entire life situation.

You are active in the base unit's medical group and collaborate with other professional groups. The role also includes mentoring students, resident doctors, and junior doctors.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this job, you need to be a licensed specialist doctor in general medicine with experience and/or interest in primary care. Interest in mentoring students and training doctors is also important.

You are a present and positive person who, with expertise and care, sees the patient and contributes to a holistic view that improves and secures the care process. You enjoy collaborating and being there for other people. You thrive in working in teams as well as independently. Together with your colleagues, you strive to create a positive atmosphere, safe patient care, and a good work environment.
