Do you have technical expertise and a strong drive? Do you want to lead and coordinate our work with technical fire protection systems? Are you focused on development and improvement? We are now looking for a fire protection coordinator who can take a prominent role in developing and driving our fire protection work forward! Location Borlänge.
Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future and sustainability of the planet. Steel has been one of the most important materials for our societal development and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities, and in tomorrow's cars. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and leadership in high-strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. That needs to change. Therefore, we have developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production, and by around 2030, we will be largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be instrumental in achieving this goal and thus contribute to a green transformation of the entire steel industry.
As a fire protection coordinator, you have a leading and coordinating role within our Fire Protection & Risk Management team at SSAB in Borlänge.
You are responsible for supervising and coordinating our fire mechanics and their work with technical fire protection systems, while ensuring that our systems and procedures meet high standards.
The role also involves collaborating with external suppliers and supporting projects.
Your main responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the team of fire mechanics (2-3 individuals), including work distribution, prioritization, and resource planning.
- Responsible for the administration and coordination of technical fire protection systems, such as fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and gas extinguishing systems.
- Manage contacts and negotiations with suppliers of technical fire protection systems.
- Responsible for operational planning and coordination of work related to maintenance and development of technical systems.
- Ensure that governing documentation and procedures are up to date and followed.
- Support and lead in minor installations related to technical fire protection systems, from planning to implementation.
- Stay updated on the external environment and drive development in your area.
About you
- Experience in leading and coordinating teams, preferably in technical systems or fire protection.
- You have a good ability to motivate and engage your team. We believe that you are communicative and want to achieve results in collaboration with others.
- Good technical competence in fire protection systems, such as fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and gas extinguishing systems.
- Documented experience in working with administration and coordination in technical or security-related areas. You need to be structured and organized with an ability to prioritize and plan your work.
- Relevant education in fire protection, technical systems, or equivalent work experience.
- Driver's license.
- It is also advantageous if you have experience working in the process industry and/or experience with digital maintenance systems.
