Capio Lundby Specialist Hospital is located at Wieselgrensplatsen, less than 10 minutes by public transport from central Gothenburg. Through an extensive care agreement with the Västra Götaland Region, we provide specialist care in dialysis/nephrology, surgery, medicine, psychiatry, ophthalmology, ENT, and an operating unit for day surgery.

At our cardiology unit, specialist doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, and medical secretaries work closely together. Together, we form a well-functioning team that works according to national guidelines with the goal that all patients should receive the care and knowledge they need based on their personal needs.

We also collaborate with other professional groups at the Medicine Department, such as dietitians, biomedical analysts (BMA), physiotherapists, and counselors. Close contact with diabetologists and nephrologists enables rapid assessments and investigations for patients with complex medical conditions. At the same time, our sense of community contributes to a pleasant work environment with room for both collaboration and camaraderie.

The cardiology unit offers both specialist care within the framework of our extensive regional agreement and a smaller portion of insurance care. As a cardiologist with us, you will have the opportunity to follow the patient from referral to investigation and follow-up, in close collaboration with experienced colleagues at the unit.

At the unit, procedures include cardioversion of atrial fibrillation performed in our day surgical unit, ultrasound/doppler, exercise ECG, spirometry tests, 24-hour blood pressure monitoring, and long-term ECG recordings with Holter.

We are looking for a specialist doctor in Cardiology. Experience in outpatient work and independently performing echocardiography examinations is a requirement. We are seeking someone with a strong interest and commitment to medical quality and operational development within your specialty. You enjoy influencing, taking responsibility, have good teamwork skills, and consider good communication and a positive attitude important. You work with a focus on quality and efficiency.
