About the Department

Departments 90 and 91 are part of the emergency flow at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, where most patients come directly from the emergency department.

We care for approximately 3000 patients per year. We receive patients with acute conditions such as chest pain, heart failure, dyspnea, infection, and poisoning. As a medical emergency care department (MAVA), we also receive patients from the intensive care units within the hospital and play a crucial role in Sahlgrenska University Hospital's disaster preparedness. We also have an admission module, ITVA, where patients with an expected care time of up to 24 hours are treated.

At Departments 90 and 91, we aim to create value for the patient by providing each individual with the most efficient care possible, and on our ward, nothing is impossible. Patients should always feel welcome with us. We value flexibility, helpfulness, and humility, and we thrive on challenges and a fast pace. As a nurse assistant with us, you will encounter many different medical conditions and learn a lot about medical technology. We maintain a high level of medical monitoring and focus on continuous learning and development.

Responsibilities

In the department, nurses and nurse assistants work in teams to provide the best care to our patients. The work is varied and involves a lot of medical technology, as our patients often require a high level of monitoring. Our department is large and welcoming, and we are accustomed to receiving new employees and students, fostering an open atmosphere in our workgroup. If you feel that you lack sufficient knowledge about a task, we are happy to teach you.

About You

We are looking for a nurse assistant for MAVA, and we see that you, as an applicant, enjoy when things are happening and are driven by challenges. You also thrive in a team where everyone helps, learns, and uplifts each other in a humble manner – we believe that everyone brings their own unique knowledge and qualities that are valuable. We need someone with a solution-focused and flexible work approach who enjoys collaborating. We take pride in our department and want you, as a nurse assistant, to contribute to providing top-class care. In addition to being trained as a nurse assistant and having experience working in a hospital, we need someone who has personal maturity and stability. You also need to have the ability to be flexible to find the best solution for each patient.

From July 1, 2023, nurse assistant will be a protected professional title. This means that you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nurse assistant in healthcare.
