Development Leader in Digitalization

Description

Digitalization is one of our most important tools in dealing with major challenges ahead in the organization, such as climate change, labor shortages, and an aging population. Existing work methods need to be challenged through innovative thinking and transition to digital solutions.

We offer you an opportunity to be involved in developing the municipality's work in the field, and you will have the opportunity to work in many exciting activities together with our development leaders, project managers, and system developers.

The department of business management is a steering and support function at the municipal board administration that works with the municipality's overall processes but also the administration's own within committee and case management, security and quality, and business development. The position is placed under the unit for quality and development, which is responsible for the development of municipality-wide processes such as the municipality's governance model, planning and follow-up, EU coordination, democracy and rural development, social sustainability, analysis and investigations, and automation and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Drive, develop, coordinate, support, and follow up on the municipality's work with digitalization.
  • Support the business at an overall level in facilitating and streamlining its work using digital technology.
  • Contribute expertise and support the administrations in comprehensive transformation work using the opportunities of digitalization.
  • Ongoing monitoring and further development of governance documents within the area of responsibility.
  • Participate in structured environmental monitoring in the field of digitalization.
  • Collaborate with municipal management, administration management, and IT department on strategic issues and development issues.
  • Coordinate and, together with the IT strategist, prepare cases for the digitalization preparation group.
  • Participate in the work on development forms for business development containing tools, models, methods, and approaches for effective management of digitalization within the municipality.
  • Conduct analysis work in the area.
  • Participate in and lead work in various networks.

Other tasks may also become relevant.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role of development leader, you have an education in digital transformation or equivalent that the employer deems equivalent, as well as experience in similar assignments. You have knowledge of and previous experience in project work and project methodology, as well as the ability to lead and drive cross-administrative development projects. It is important to have experience from similar work in a politically governed organization or from a larger organization in the private sector. To fulfill the assignment, you need to have broad knowledge in IT related to business development. You need to be skilled at writing decision support in a clear and thorough manner, and it is particularly important that you have good collaboration skills, are receptive, and communicate clearly.

You have the ability to lead people towards set goals, and you are strategically inclined with a great ability to independently take responsibility and plan your work. As the tasks vary, it places high demands on your ability to adapt to different situations and take your own initiatives. Within given frameworks, you can independently make decisions from a holistic perspective. It is important that you are driven, results-oriented, and have the ability to translate strategy and goals into action and complete processes with many involved stakeholders.

As a person, you are receptive and consultative and apply a proactive approach. We value creativity and innovative thinking. You should also be communicative and enjoy speaking in front of people. You also have very good knowledge of digital tools and systems.
