Department Manager - Biltema Ludvika

Biltema offers a wide range of products for the whole family in the areas of Car/MC, Boat, Leisure, Home, Office/Technology, Construction, Car care, and Tools. In total, Biltema markets more than 19,000 items. Our vision is to make it economically easier for people to have high-quality cars, boats, homes, tools, and leisure items, thereby creating a richer leisure time for everyone. Biltema currently has a total of 161 stores in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland, of which 60 stores are located in Sweden. Biltema is a strong brand in an exciting expansion phase, planning to open around 50 new stores in the Nordic region in the coming years.

What to expect from the position

As a Department Manager, you are responsible for one of the store's departments, such as Car/MC/Car care, Construction/Tools, or Leisure/Boat/Home/Office/Technology. This means that you are the extended arm of the management team out in the business. The responsibility involves ensuring that the department is always well-organized, sales-oriented, and customer-ready with well-stocked and inviting shelves. You create inspiring seasonal displays, suggest suitable products for promotions, and cross-selling. Order and tidiness are some of our core values, and in this role, you ensure that signage and references are clear and correct. You are also responsible for inventory management of the department.

An important part of your role is to motivate and engage your colleagues, sharing your knowledge about the department's products. Together with your colleagues, you replenish products and coach them to provide the best possible service to Biltema's customers. You are a team player who values close collaboration with other department managers, where you gladly exchange ideas and experiences. We prefer that you have a special interest in your product areas and care about creating a safe environment for both customers and colleagues.

What we expect from you

We are looking for someone who has worked in retail for a few years and wants to take the next step in sales. You are a dedicated service-minded person with a customer-centric approach. You enjoy taking responsibility, initiative, and have a knack for sales. Going the extra mile to achieve results is natural for you. You also have an eye for attractive product displays and efficient product placement. Challenges motivate you, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment where new perspectives are sought.

It is essential that you have an interest in the product areas you will be responsible for within Biltema's range, and we therefore ask you to specify your area of expertise in your application. Personal suitability will be highly valued as, in this role, you must be communicative in both Swedish and English, with the ability to convey goals and the path to your colleagues. Therefore, previous leadership experience is also advantageous.
