Every year, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency makes approximately 20 million decisions that affect people's lives and society as a whole. We disburse around 250 billion kronor each year. In the Southern region, at the department for disability and permanently reduced work capacity, we handle Sickness and Activity Compensation and Work Injury Benefits. We also have insurance medical advisors organized with us. The area consists of 11 units distributed across 17 locations.
Close leadership, change, sustainable workplace
As a unit manager, you are the supervisor who is closest to the employees and the operations. You are responsible for leading and driving the daily work based on the department's mission and goals, where the state value base permeates your work. Through your leadership, you convey clear expectations, follow up on goals, and provide your employees with the right conditions to take responsibility. You have personnel responsibility as well as result and follow-up responsibility for the teams in your unit.
Your unit consists of 16–17 employees working with Activity Compensation for extended schooling, located in Malmö and Lund. Through close leadership, you create the predictability, security, and sustainability necessary for employees to take their responsibility and meet the need for change. You create understanding of context, direction, and the goals set by the department and develop the plans your operations need. As a unit manager, you support the area manager and are part of the area's management group consisting of 15 people, where you contribute with your expertise and engagement. You adapt and exercise your leadership in a way that creates conditions for employees to use their judgment and competence.
The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a high security awareness.

- have a good understanding of the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's mission.

A fixed-term employment for up to 1 year with the possibility of extension, full-time, with start date according to agreement. In accordance with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's security guidelines, background checks will be conducted in this recruitment. In this recruitment, psychological tests may be used as part of the selection process. Placement location is Lund or Malmö.
