JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are Gothenburg! Now we need you who are innovative and forward-thinking with a desire to develop services, principles, and working methods. As a business developer with us, you will support our department's continued journey to be a stable and qualitative service provider. All to give the city's administrations and companies the best possible conditions to manage their core missions.

The Department of Shared Services delivers digital services to administrations and companies within the City of Gothenburg. Currently, the services are found in the areas of HR, finance, and management and governance. Our service portfolio is primarily based on the management and development of existing services, but also the development of new services. The department's service portfolio currently includes over 20 services.

With us, you will work as one of several business developers in the department. The main tracks in the work are support and development of internal processes as well as support and development of existing and upcoming services, where one needs to have the ability to handle questions from strategic to operational levels. In most assignments, you will work under the guidance of others in the department such as service strategists, project managers, or managers.

Concrete examples of job responsibilities include:

• identifying, preparing, and packaging development needs of our existing and upcoming services
• identifying and translating needs into requirements in our procurements
• mapping user behavior, drivers, and needs and documenting these using working methods such as effect maps, benefit realization plans, and customer journeys
• leading change by educating and creating understanding and acceptance for the changes that the introduction of new services and processes entails for stakeholders and individuals in receiving operations
• contributing to improving the administration's existing governance processes
• project/assignment leading, conducting investigations, and producing decision support
• monitoring the digitalization landscape related to our mission.

You will be placed at the department or operational area level. Your job responsibilities may vary over time and can to some extent be adapted to your specialist and interest areas within the framework of the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university degree that we assess as relevant for the assignment. You have worked for several years with business development or project management in the field of digitization, in the intersection between core operations and IT. You have an understanding of the challenge of taking an idea to a finished product in a complex organization.

It is advantageous if you have some of the following experiences:

• change management
• process/work methods, preferably related to robotics and AI
• business development in finance or management systems
• experience in public operations.

It is important that you have good collaboration skills, can communicate from the customer's perspective, and translate their vision into effective digital solutions. You can explain your assignments in a simple, clear, and pedagogical way using various presentation tools. You work goal- and result-oriented, driven by creating a good result and ensuring that you complete your tasks.
