We are currently looking for a temporary

HR Manager

to strengthen our Scandinavian HR team!

We are in an expansive phase and are now looking for a driven HR manager to complement the rest of the HR team. The position is temporary full-time expected to last until the end of the year with a start date as soon as possible.

The main location is in Mariestad but continuous travel to our mills in Småland is required. You will be part of a team with six other HR colleagues and report to the region's HR Director.

What will your role be at Metsä?

In the role of HR Manager, you will be responsible for the operational HR issues related to the Mill Organization in Mariestad and will be part of the mill management. Additionally, you are expected to support your colleague in Småland with HR issues for the Småland mills.

Additional tasks included in the role are:

  • Support managers in their daily leadership issues
  • Recruitment and onboarding
  • Rehabilitation and health promotion work
  • Resource planning and competency development
  • Union negotiations and collaboration
  • Ownership of HR-related KPIs and cost follow-ups

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with an academic education in HR and previous experience working in similar operational HR roles. You need to be well-organized, analytical, and enjoy being hands-on. As tasks and conditions can change on short notice from day to day, you need to be flexible and able to adapt and prioritize.

The role requires good collaboration skills and the ability to build good relationships with others. You also need to communicate in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. Furthermore, high integrity, resilience, and structured thinking are good qualities for this position, as well as the ability to see both details and the bigger picture.

If you have experience working in Workday as an HR system, it is an advantage. You should have good knowledge of MS Office.

  • Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
  • As travel is required for the position, you must have a driver's license.
  • We are looking for someone who can either consider employment or who wants to come in as an interim consultant.
