Software Developer for our Data and API Team

We are looking for someone who wants to help build a modern web-based analytics product for the international market. We have a strong interest in our rapidly growing SaaS service, and as a developer in our data and API team, you will expand and make available our scalable and robust data platform that allows our customers and partners to derive intelligent insights from large amounts of data.

About the Role

Our data and API team works with our data all the way from ingestion to presentation for the user. You will be part of a team responsible for everything from our data pipelines to data modeling, data infrastructure, and the development of robust APIs and integrations with external systems.

We work with a modern tech stack, based on open-source and cloud-native technologies. We are about 20 people at Senseworks and work very cross-functionally across the entire stack when implementing new features - your days may include everything from integrations with third-party APIs, database modeling to backend and frontend development, depending on your interests.

Examples of what you may work on:

• Building integrations with third-party APIs.
• Modeling complex data types.
• Performance optimization of our data warehouses.
• Design and development of REST APIs.
• Creating robust data and machine learning pipelines in Kubernetes.
• Making data available to users through dashboards in our frontend.

About You

We believe you are a curious, driven, responsible, and positive developer with a couple of years of work experience and an interest in data. Ideally, you are based in Umeå or nearby so we can meet often.

We would like you to have experience with:

• Databases, especially OLAP databases like ClickHouse and experience handling large datasets.
• Data modeling and SQL.
• API and backend development.
• Integrations with third-party APIs and data pipelines.
• Kubernetes and cloud-based systems.

It is also advantageous to have experience with:

• Node.js
• React.js
• Machine learning
• Work in finance-related industries – accounting, auditing, banking, etc.
