The Individual and Family Care Services in Nora municipality consists of three units: the Adult Unit, the Child and Family Unit, and the Labor Market Unit.

Nora municipality is currently seeking a social worker for the Child and Family Unit. The Child and Family Unit consists of social services authority operations and the open care unit. Within the social services authority, there are eight social workers, one foster care secretary, and one administrator. The unit manager leads together with the first social worker and provides daily support to the social workers. The Child and Family Unit also includes Open Care with family therapists, field assistants, and a school social worker.

The entire unit is located in the same building, which allows for close collaboration, short decision-making processes, and close leadership. Here, you will encounter varied tasks, great commitment, lots of laughter, and high professionalism. The entire unit is engaged in a motivating development process to meet the changes that the upcoming new Social Services Act entails.

The position is governed by Nora municipality's flexible working hours agreement. Nora municipality offers wellness grants.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The job responsibilities are primarily focused on authority operations according to SoL, LVU, and other relevant legislation. Nora is a relatively small municipality, and thus social workers have the advantage of working broadly with varied tasks, where we as a group help each other and are flexible. The operation is responsible for handling cases from incoming reports/applications, through investigations to the implementation of interventions and closure. The current position as a social worker pertains to a role in the investigation group, which consists of 6 social workers responsible for preliminary assessments, investigations, and following up on open care interventions.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and a driver's license.

Experience in social work with children and youth and their families, as well as authority operations within social services, is advantageous.

You should have the ability to meet and create trusting relationships and have a good ability to collaborate with colleagues and other partners. The work requires the ability to work both independently and in collaboration with others; you need to be responsible, flexible, communicative, and enjoy working in a team. You have a salutogenic approach in relation to your tasks and your colleagues.

We place great importance on social skills and personal suitability; you need to have an interest and commitment to the living conditions of children and youth, good relationship-building skills, and the ability to express yourself well in writing. Initiative, flexibility, and the ability to independently drive processes are highly valued.
