About the Client

The client is an elderly woman with an active life and a great interest in food, family, and travel. She lives in her own apartment and has close contact with her children and grandchildren. She has a background as a social worker and a rich social life.

Since a brain hemorrhage in 2006, she lives with both physical and cognitive consequences that entail a significant need for support in daily life. She also has reduced kidney function and atrial fibrillation.

Mobility is assisted with aids – a walker for short distances and a wheelchair or electric wheelchair for longer distances. She always needs someone close during transfers, even at home, to avoid falls or other risks.

Job Responsibilities

As an assistant, you are an important support in her daily life. Job responsibilities include, among others:

• Assistance with mobility and personal care
  
  
• Cooking, light household chores, and shopping
  
  
• Support with healthcare contacts
  
  
• Social support, conversation, and motivational efforts
  
  
• Participation in family activities and possibly travel
  
  

The client enjoys being involved and has a strong desire to influence her daily life – your task will be to support this with respect and attentiveness.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, responsible, and flexible
  
  
• Attentive and has a good sense of integrity and interaction
  
  
• Comfortable working both practically and socially close to another person
  
  
• Fluent in Swedish (requirement)
  
  

You do not need to have previous experience in personal assistance, but it is an advantage. You will receive introduction and support from experienced colleagues.

A driver's license is not a requirement, but it can be an advantage for activities or travel.

Employment Type and Working Hours

• Hourly employment as needed
  
  
• Summer substitute during June–August
  
  
• Work shifts may occur during the day, evening, and weekends
