Foster Care Secretary to the Family Unit in Lindesberg Municipality

The Family Unit at Lindesberg Municipality consists of 28 employees working with authority exercises related to children and youth, family law, adult substance abusers, and foster care. In the foster care group, there are currently two foster care secretaries and three social workers. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the foster care group, we use the three-part parenthood as a starting point for our work. Collaboration between foster homes, biological families, and social services is crucial. You will work in a team consisting of foster care secretaries and child followers. As a foster care secretary, you will recruit, investigate, and supervise foster homes.

We are now looking for a foster care secretary with previous experience in foster care work. The job involves many external and internal contacts. Most of our foster homes have direct agreements with Lindesberg Municipality. All our foster homes are expected to receive individual supervision and group supervision that you are expected to provide. You will work closely with your colleague and also in close collaboration with child followers responsible for the child's placement. You and the child follower need to have a shared understanding of the child's needs, which forms the basis for your supervision of the foster home. The goal is to provide foster homes with qualified support in their assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and previous work experience in foster care. We want you to have experience in authority exercises concerning children and youth. You should have good knowledge of relevant legislation. Training in the investigation method Nya Kälvesten and in supervision of foster homes is an advantage. You have a genuine interest in foster care and understand the importance of creating and maintaining relationships over time and have the ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously.

You are a secure, stable, and calm person. You enjoy working in a structured way and planning your work effectively. You view documentation as a natural part of your tasks and express yourself well in the Swedish language, both verbally and in writing. You enjoy working in a team and collaborating at various levels. Since the job involves a lot of driving, a driver's license and good driving experience are required.
