Waste Administrator at Region Gotland
At Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.
The Waste Department
In the waste department, about thirty engaged and knowledgeable colleagues work in various positions; waste developers, system administrators, economists, case officers, waste technicians, team leaders, and operational staff.
We offer a qualified and varied job with stimulating tasks where you become part of a larger whole, where our mission contributes to building the Gotlandic community. At Region Gotland, we want to provide good conditions for a sustainable balance between work and leisure. We do this through several opportunities for flexibility in employment and working methods.
We are now looking for an employee for a period of about one year for a parental leave substitute.
Your Tasks
In the role of waste administrator, you will manage cases from start to decision. This means you will have daily contact with contractors, citizens, and internally within the Region. You will work in various systems such as EDP Future/Mobile and W3D3 as well as in our shared email. Other tasks include responding to building referrals and citizen proposals.
The position also includes other tasks within the waste area and work with the waste management ordinance, which includes waste regulations and waste fees as well as waste plans. In your assignment, you will also collaborate with other employees in the unit to develop and drive the processing of incoming cases and service letters.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone with an interest in environmental and waste issues and preferably some form of experience in the waste area. You have several years of documented work experience in office work. You are an experienced computer user and have good knowledge of the Office suite as well as good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, and basic knowledge of English.
It is advantageous if you have worked in case and operational systems such as EDP Future and W3D3 and have experience in handling public operations and a good understanding of environmental and waste legislation.
As a person, you are structured, meticulous, and an open colleague who is happy to share your knowledge and experience. Since you will have many contacts both within Region Gotland and with other organizations and citizens, it is important that you are outgoing, communicative, skilled at expressing yourself in speech and writing, have a high level of service, and can work independently. The ability to collaborate is important, as well as enjoying creating new contacts. Your skills and experience are important, but we place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
Selection for interviews is ongoing, so do not wait to apply!
