At our facility in Värö, with nearly 400 employees, we produce not only paper pulp but also green electricity, district heating, and bioproducts.

In the role of Designer in mechanical and piping, you will be an important part of our team and contribute your expertise to various exciting projects.

What you will work with at Södra

As a Designer in mechanical and piping, you contribute to the development of our facility and the construction of pipelines and steel structures. Your work will be performed both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues within the organization as well as with external partners.

Examples of tasks: - prepare cost estimates for investments and projects - provide advice and conduct investigations for various parts of the business - be responsible for smaller facility changes as a sub-project and assembly leader - participate in self-inspection, inspection, and standardization work, as well as develop routines within the management system

The position is a permanent full-time employment, based in Värö.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with experience in piping and facility design from manufacturing or process industries. Experience from the paper or pulp industry is particularly meritorious. You are a results-oriented and self-driven person who has the ability to take initiative and work in a structured manner. Furthermore, you are a team player with good collaboration and communication skills.

We also see that you have: - an engineering degree at the university level or equivalent education and experience - experience working with PDMS/E3D and AutoCAD/BricsCAD - knowledge of applicable regulations and directives for pressure-bearing devices - experience in strength and flow calculations - good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form
