Your Role

The Component Maintenance and Test Equipment department is responsible for aftermarket and In Service Support, i.e., maintenance of aircraft, devices, and associated systems for Gripen, T7, and other platforms. We are in an expansive phase where new and exciting challenges constantly follow one another.

We are looking for an operational developer for Operational Development within the area of Operational Excellence, responsible for providing operational development for the entire department's needs.

In the role of operational developer with us, you will participate in and lead development projects/assignments to optimize our operations, methods, processes, and IT tool support. You will collaborate within and outside your own organization in a relaxed environment where we thrive and have fun at work even when the winds blow.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Ensure that product and information flows operate and are managed optimally and efficiently through our workshops
• Reduce specialized and product-customized flows and working methods in collaboration with relevant functions
• Actively improve and streamline the department's operations and working methods for increased profitability and efficiency
• As project leader, manage and lead smaller and larger projects within the department according to established methodology and towards set goals
• Support the organization in their work to achieve set goals
• Actively keep yourself updated on what is happening and collaborate with necessary businesses/organizations to ensure that the area's interests are safeguarded

We have the opportunity to give you a good start whether you have several years of experience in the field or if you have just graduated. The most important thing for us is that you have an interest in learning more about our operations and want to develop in the role of operational developer.

The location is Linköping or Arboga.

Your Profile

For this role, we are looking for a person with a knack for improvement work with a good ability to translate theories into methods and instructions into practice. Since some operational changes are complex and take time to implement, it is important that you are patient and persistent when required. You enjoy collaborating in teams and are good at building relationships and managing different types of personalities and groups. You are confident in your skills and enjoy driving your own work forward.

To succeed in the role, you need:

• Academic education or equivalent work experience in production, maintenance operations, supply chain, or planning
• Proficient in business systems and other digital tools
• Good knowledge of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
• Good knowledge of English and Swedish both verbally and in writing

It is an advantage if you have experience leading teams and/or workgroups or experience working with improvement work and operational development.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
