Electrical Safety Officer at the Swedish Armed Forces

The Swedish Armed Forces and the Air Force are growing and constantly developing. The situation in the world increases the demands on us and our missions are becoming more numerous. F 7 is the versatile air wing with many different operations in various locations.

We are now looking for you, our new Electrical Safety Officer.

About the Unit

At the Implementation Department (A3), you are at the center of events, preparing, coordinating, and following up on tasks ordered by C F 7. A3 coordinates what is happening now and in the coming months, where the individual must be able to handle qualified tasks under high tempo and with great responsibility.

Main Responsibilities

A functioning power supply is crucial for F 7 to accomplish its tasks. High electrical safety is necessary to minimize the risks associated with electricity for people and property, as well as to ensure that electrical installations are reliable. A systematic electrical safety effort should be a natural part of both workplace safety and operational safety.

As an Electrical Safety Officer, your main responsibilities will be to support the unit commander and their line organization in conducting systematic electrical safety work and workplace safety efforts. You will undergo the Swedish Armed Forces' training for electrical safety officers.

The work is independent and aims to support managers and operational practitioners in preventing incidents and accidents. This is done by providing/conducting professional support, training, inspections, oversight, and assessments in daily operations and during exercises. You must have the ability to follow up and develop the electrical safety area.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Very good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish.
• Good administrative skills
• Driving license for manual transmission
• Swedish citizenship

MERITORIOUS

• Documented knowledge of occupational health and electrical legislation.
• Experience in working with occupational health and electrical safety in land and maritime operations.
• Driving license for Pb/Llb
• Good knowledge of and experience with the Swedish Armed Forces' systematic electrical safety work.
• Good experience in training larger and smaller groups.
• Good experience with the use of computers and IT systems.
• Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in English.

Other

Employment type: Permanent employment. The Swedish Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority.

Start date: By agreement

The position requires physical capability, undertaking business trips, and participation in training and exercises in the war organization.

Skaraborg Air Wing is a versatile and unique air wing. Here you will find combat aircraft as well as the Swedish Armed Forces' combined resources for transport and special aviation. We conduct basic and position training for conscripted recruits and train all Swedish and foreign Gripen pilots. The unit also participates in many missions. In Sweden, operations are located in Såtenäs, Malmen, Arlanda, and Karlsborg. Abroad, we are responsible for Gripen support in Thailand and for the Swedish personnel in the international transport aviation cooperation Heavy Airlift Wing in Hungary.
