Social Services Work

The work of the Social Services includes authority exercise and execution for target groups such as children and youth, individuals with addiction issues, individuals with mental health problems, newcomers, individuals in need of financial support, and support due to violence in close relationships. The department is divided into adult division, youth division, support and work division, and administration division. We have a process-oriented working method where collaboration, development, and continuous improvements lead us forward.

About the Position

We are now looking for a placement coordinator for the administration division. The division gathers the support functions of the department and consists of 10 employees and one manager. We work closely together to support the operations. Within the division, we have employees with a high sense of service, extensive experience, and a great commitment to their tasks, and you can always count on receiving a helping hand.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of placement coordinator with a LINK assignment, you will play a central role in ensuring the quality of external placements. Your work aims to ensure that each placement is in the best interest of the Alingsås resident, and you will be an important link between social workers, managers, external providers, and the organization around the GR common provider register.

Your primary tasks include implementing and maintaining an effective control system for placement and purchase agreements. You are responsible for ensuring that all external purchases are correctly documented and that invoices are reconciled against entered agreements and executed measures. By keeping track of the content of agreements and termination periods, you ensure that only purchased days are compensated, contributing to a cost-effective management of resources.

You will also conduct direct procurements and document these processes thoroughly. In your role, you inform the authority units about applicable guidelines when purchasing external services and support managers in any disputes or renegotiations of prices. An important part of your work is to continuously remind about the importance of follow-up of external placements and the agreements for these.

You receive requests from caseworkers about the need for placements and initiate meetings with relevant parties to discuss and evaluate the suitability of the placement. After the placement, you conduct follow-ups together with social workers and managers to ensure that care and implementation plans are followed and that goal fulfillment is on the right track.

To succeed in the role, it is important that you are cost- and quality-conscious, have knowledge of legislation, and experience with placements. You should be curious and have a desire to develop the role, the division's, and the department's work. By actively following placements and involving networks, you contribute to creating the best conditions for Alingsås residents in our care.

QUALIFICATIONS

For the assignment, we are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in social work or another relevant university degree for the assignment
• At least five years of experience working in social services
• Experience in authority exercise, particularly focusing on placements
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, which you speak and write fluently

To succeed in the role of placement coordinator, it is important that you are service-oriented and proactive, with a natural ability to meet people in a professional manner. You will be involved in several different processes, which requires that you are flexible and have the ability to prioritize among your tasks. You enjoy working independently and quickly become self-sufficient, while also striving to continuously improve working methods and results.
