Security Guard at Avarn Security in Uppsala

As a security guard at Avarn Security, you will have an exciting daily life where your task is to enhance our customers' safety and promote a safer environment.

A patrolling security guard works with preventive security. You will be mobile and visit customers in your district/area to check that alarms are activated, windows and doors are closed and locked, electrical equipment is turned off, and that no unauthorized persons are present on the site/area. Patrolling is carried out both indoors and outdoors, mostly at night, and you will work in shifts. The work is independent and mobile.

In stationary security, you work at the customer's premises. This can involve everything from reception work to patrolling and staffing security control centers.

Qualifications:

We are looking for security-conscious, social, empathetic, and positive individuals with inner security and a natural drive to help. Security guards work in many different environments with very varied tasks - we are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and has a clear service-oriented commitment. We also prefer that you can communicate fluently in English.

We are looking for someone who can work at least eight weeks during the period from June to August. If you have the right profile, we offer security guard training and an opportunity to step into an exciting and growing industry.

If you have the right profile for Avarn and progress in the process but do not already have the required training (VU1, VU2), we will cover your training! Security guard training (VU1, 9 days) is conducted at BYA, the Security Industry's Professional and Work Environment Board. Participation in this training is a prerequisite for employment.

Qualifications

In addition to the personal qualities we are looking for and describing, you need to meet basic requirements to qualify for the position:

• at least 18 years old before starting the assignment
• high school diploma
• good Swedish in speech and writing
• driver's license B

You also need to be without a criminal record*, drug-free, have a stable economy, and good health and fitness to be employed by Avarn Security.

Security guard training is an advantage for these positions. Other advantageous qualifications include experience in the security industry, some technical knowledge, additional language skills beyond Swedish and English, and previous experience working in public environments.
