About the Role

Are you looking for a job where you can make a difference in people's everyday lives? We at Securitas are currently looking for you who want to become part of us and work to increase security among our retail customers. As a store inspector, you will work to prevent and deter shoplifting, theft, and loss in a retail environment. The role is varied, where one day is not like the other, as you will visit several different stores during your shift. In case of a crime, you will intervene and then call the police to the scene.

The shifts are scheduled between 08:00 and 23:00. The length of the shifts may vary, working between 5 to 12 hours. You will be based in Uppsala and work in a large district that also includes Norrtälje and Enköping.

You will for example:

• Conduct checks at our retail customers.
• Collaborate with the police in case of any crime.
• Work preventively by checking the stores' security work.

The position suits you who are determined and not afraid to work in vulnerable environments. Often, the role of a store inspector is flexible, allowing you to combine the work of a store inspector with other tasks within Securitas if needed. Requirements

Mandatory

• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• Driver's license B
• Complete security guard training

Preferred if you

• have worked with similar tasks before
• have worked as a security guard in a public environment
• have a civilian or military security guard training
• have an approved security guard training and valid authorization

As a person, we believe you are service-oriented, calm, and organized and can handle periods of high work pace. You are interested in technology and have an easy time understanding instructions. We see that you, as a candidate, are an independent person who trusts your own abilities, quickly understands problems, and solves them creatively. You have a systematic and meticulous approach with an eye for detail. Great importance will be placed on your personal suitability for the position.

• The position is a need-based employment with the possibility of working hours during the summer, start date by agreement. We apply a 6-month probationary period.

For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, it is required that you have approved grades from high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to each regulation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns legality, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, open sources, or authorities.
