About the Unit and Staff
The System Management Unit (SFE) manages and develops the Armed Forces' IT systems. Our main mission is to ensure the operation of the systems and that their information is secure, accurate, and accessible, thereby contributing to the Armed Forces' operational capability. The staff at the System Management Unit consists of staff functions in areas such as administration, security, production coordination, finance, work environment, logistics, HR, and training activities. We operate according to the Security Protection Act, the Security Ordinance, and the Armed Forces' regulations.
Main Responsibilities
Security assessments are conducted to investigate whether an individual can be deemed reliable and loyal, and to clarify that an individual has no vulnerabilities regarding security. This is a requirement according to the Security Protection Act for participating in activities of significance to Sweden's security, which the Armed Forces' operations entail.
The System Management Unit is therefore seeking a SUA Officer/Security Assessor who will, among other things:
- Lead and coordinate the SUA process within their own unit, both towards internal and external parties.
- Follow up on the unit's security protection agreements.
- Conduct security assessment interviews with background checks, follow-up conversations, and closing discussions for consultants.
- Develop and maintain the unit's governing and descriptive documents within their functional responsibility.
- Provide direct support to the Chief of Staff and Unit Manager.
- Lead presentations and meetings at the unit level within their functional area.
- Prepare and handle the System Management Unit's other incoming tasks within the framework of the staff's operational area.
The job involves travel within the country.
Qualifications
- At least a 3-year upper secondary education.
- Experience in interviews for personnel assessment, background investigation, personnel selection, or equivalent that the employer considers comparable.
- Good knowledge of English and Swedish, both spoken and written.
- For the position, good knowledge of Windows environment (PC proficiency).
- Driver's license.

To fit into the role of Security Assessor/SUA Officer, you need to be analytical, structured, and meticulous. You should be able to take your own initiatives and independently drive cases within your operational area. Furthermore, we believe that you find it easy to collaborate with others, are attentive in conversations, can build trust while maintaining a high level of integrity. As the work involves tasks with high confidentiality, good judgment and a high security awareness are required.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Meritorious
- Education in intelligence/security service or behavioral science.
- Previous experience within the security service framework.
- Experience in environmental monitoring.
- Previous employment within the Armed Forces in a relevant position.
- Basic military training.
Other
The position is a civilian appointment full-time. Permanent employment, the Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not employed by the authority.
Start date according to agreement. Work location Enköping. Travel occurs in the position.
