Circular Economy and Water for Gothenburg Residents
We are responsible for ensuring that some of Gothenburg's most important community services function, 24 hours a day, all year round. Through our work with water, sewage, and waste, Circular Economy and Water contribute to creating a circular society that enables Gothenburg residents to live sustainably. Our vision is "We make it easy to live sustainably" and our job is truly important.
Gothenburg is growing like never before. We work to secure the drinking water supply to the city by building and maintaining the underground infrastructure. We influence and plan for the construction of a Gothenburg that can meet tomorrow's climate challenges. We also ensure that the waste generated by Gothenburg residents is collected and treated correctly. We work long-term to raise awareness and change behavior regarding the circular economy and the use of drinking water.
We are a fee-funded administration with extensive expertise, employing around 500 staff. Within the organization, we have the competence to fulfill our mission – both in planning and execution.
