About the workplace

In the city of Mölndal, we are proud to have Sweden's most important jobs where we together create the best possible everyday life for our citizens. With knowledge, courage, and creativity, we develop our operations and contribute to making Mölndal an even better place to live and work. Welcome to make a difference in people's everyday lives every day!

The City Service Administration has an important and exciting mission to deliver, coordinate, and develop services for residents and administrations in the city of Mölndal. The administration has over 550 employees and is organized into four operational areas: meals and local care, water and recycling, city maintenance, and staff and customer.

The operational area of Water and Recycling works for a sustainable future by ensuring clean water in both taps and waterways and promoting more sustainable consumption with reduced waste. We do this by developing, maintaining, and improving our operations.

Job responsibilities

The city of Mölndal actively and successfully works with sustainability issues. Among other things, long-term work is carried out in accordance with the regional waste plan within GR. In this role, you will be responsible for the recycling centers in Lindome and Kikås where residents leave products and waste for reuse and recycling. In Kikås, there is also a reuse shop, as well as areas for loading, mass handling, storage, and interim storage.

As a unit manager, you have a central role in driving both the daily operations and the long-term development. There is great potential to increase reuse and create new collaborations, both within the municipality and with external suppliers.

You will lead about fifteen employees and be responsible for personnel, budget, and work environment. In addition to leading daily operations, you will work strategically with the development of the operations and financial follow-up. You will be part of the management team for Water and Recycling and actively contribute to driving the operations forward.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to the continued development of reuse and recycling. We would like you to have experience in sustainability and environmental work, logistics and warehouse management, as well as trade, especially in reuse and sustainable consumption.

You have a relevant university degree in, for example, environmental science or logistics, or other education combined with experience in similar assignments. You have previously held a leadership role with personnel and budget responsibility and are used to creating engagement and participation in a work group. As a manager, you are clear, motivating, and unpretentious. You build long-term and trusting relationships, listen to your surroundings, and support your employees. At the same time, you have the ability to set clear demands and expectations to drive the operations forward.
