Job Description

We are searching for a new Commercial Officer to strengthen our Commercial team. Repair Solutions is one of GKN Aerospace’s four Business Areas, consisting of our Parts Repair side for component repairs and Industrial Gas Turbine side for full maintenance and overhaul. We have full responsibility for our area, which for example includes sales, delivery performance, forecasting and contracts within the aftermarket organization in Sweden. The goal is to continue to grow substantially in both business areas within the next few years, and a key person in this is the Commercial Officer. Someone who sees the potential in new affairs, but also takes care and develops our existing contracts. Builds customer relationships and works closely with our technical team to make our affairs more profitable. Someone who appreciates analyzing, negotiating, and challenging our field.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the management and resolution of commercial issues on a day to day basis
• Know the contract and ensure GKN interests
• Commercial change management
• Build strong customer relationships
• Support/prepare bids and proposals
• Participate in negotiations
• Inform the Program Management team of contractual obligations and boundaries
• First point of escalation for customer purchase order or contractual issues
• Identifying and mitigating risk and assessing opportunities
• Supporting the business to manage change and deliver upon its financial commitments
• Member of the Repair Solutions management team

Qualifications

Qualifications/Experience/Skills:

• BSc in Engineering or Economics or equivalent experience
• Ability to easily communicate in English, spoken as well as written
• Ability to understand and run financial business models
• Understand a variety of contract/agreement types such as Non-Disclosure Agreement

Personal Skill: You have strong analytical capabilities and a customer-focused approach, allowing you to effectively understand and meet customer needs. With solid knowledge in contracting and a flexible, team-oriented mindset, you actively contribute to achieving shared goals. You also have the ability to clearly and effectively communicate customer requirements, even in complex and dynamic situations. You adapt quickly and can negotiate both individually and as part of a larger team, making you a valuable asset in various work contexts.
