Do you want to lead a socially important organization and help develop the future of service in healthcare? At the Property, Support, and Service administration, you will play a key role in ensuring that healthcare employees can focus on patients, thanks to safe, accessible, and professional support in their daily work.

Responsibilities

As a Unit Manager, you will have overall responsibility for operations, personnel, budget, and work environment, and you will lead approximately 24 employees who currently work in the Service Team at Södra Älvsborg Hospital (SÄS) in Borås. The employees work with various service tasks that relieve the healthcare staff – cleaning, final cleaning, deep cleaning, meal management, and material replenishment, and they switch between these tasks throughout their workday.

This new working method is a large project underway across the entire region, and the goal is to continue task rotation, which means that employees will eventually work in more service areas. In your role, you will therefore be a driving force in the development work towards a fully-fledged Service Team, with a strong focus on change management. Through a safe and responsive leadership style, you support, develop, and motivate your employees so that together you achieve the organization's goals and meet customer demands.

A significant part of your work will involve working with processes to create the Service Team. You will have an operational role where you daily support your employees while also driving development forward and working on improvement efforts. You will have support from your colleagues in the management group, as well as HR and finance. The position is located at SÄS in Borås.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a completed upper secondary education and has previously worked as a manager, preferably within a service organization where both employees and customers are the focus. We want you to have prior experience in driving and working with change initiatives. Experience in logistics is also desirable, and previous work in public service is an advantage.

Your drive to make a difference and develop the team and processes is of great importance to us. By having clear communication combined with actively listening to others, you build and maintain collaborations with both employees and customers. We are looking for someone who wants to work with processes and therefore has an easy time seeing the big picture, driving work forward, and creating clarity in complex workflows. You have a strategic approach and can connect goals, resources, and activities to achieve the desired results. You are confident in your role as a leader and lead your team in an inclusive manner.
