Polhem School is Gävle's largest secondary school with approximately 1600 students. At Polhem School, there are 10 national programs, including one preparatory program and nine vocational programs. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Make Gävle skilled! Do you want to contribute to students' motivation and learning? Great! We are looking for someone to complement our team in the Electrical and Energy Program with your knowledge and skills.

We are now seeking a vocational teacher in computer and communication technology for the Electrical and Energy Program who wants to help educate our students. As a teacher in the Electrical and Energy Program, you will plan and conduct teaching both theoretically and practically in relevant vocational subjects within computer and communication. Working with us is more than just teaching our youth. You are also expected to collaborate across subject boundaries and contribute to the development of our programs. You will teach subjects such as computer technology, network administration, programming, and more.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a completed secondary education, experience in computer and communication work, and some form of post-secondary education in data and communication. You have knowledge of and experience working with digital tools. You should also have the ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both verbally and in writing. It is an advantage if you have a teaching license, but it is not a requirement.

To succeed as a vocational teacher at Polhem School, you have the ability to lead, motivate, and inspire students, helping them to develop and feel good in school. You are good at creating an open dialogue between students and your colleagues, and you adapt your actions based on different situations that may arise in school. Furthermore, you build trusting relationships and make others feel secure.

As a person, you have the ability to see what needs to be prioritized, are efficient, and use resources to achieve results in the best possible way. You also have a humble approach in your collaboration with others and can find alternative solutions to problems that arise.
