Education Gävle is responsible for preschool, primary school, secondary school, and adapted school. We work to ensure that all children and students are challenged and succeed in their education. Milboskolan is a K-6 school located in the pleasant Hille area on the northern outskirts of Gävle. The school is divided into two buildings, K-3 and 4-6, and has approximately 350 students. Together with the schools in Björke, Trödje, and Bergby, Milboskolan belongs to the Bergby Principal Area. We place great value on your active participation in collegial learning and systematically reflecting on the work individually and together with others, related to the goals of the operation and influences from the outside world. We are now looking for two teachers, one permanent position and one temporary position for the school year 2025/2026.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher for grades 1-3, you will work with instruction, have class responsibility, and be responsible for mapping, planning, implementing, and evaluating lessons. The work is carried out according to established goals and guidelines. Responsibilities also include mentorship and working with your colleagues to create a good, enjoyable, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus. You challenge and support students to achieve good academic results and adapt your teaching based on all students' needs and circumstances. The work is carried out in collaboration with other educators, student health, guardians, and other actors outside the school.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree and teaching certification with authorization to teach grades 1-3. You are familiar with and knowledgeable about the primary school curriculum. To teach grades 1-3, we believe it is important that you can express yourself well in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You have knowledge of and experience with digital tools, such as documentation in Unikum or Office.

As a person, you take initiative in social contexts and have the ability to build trust in your professional relationships. In your collaboration with other colleagues, citizens, and stakeholders, you have a humble approach. You have a natural ability to lead and inspire students, and you always strive to create a safe and pleasant environment where everyone feels included and involved. Additionally, you are good at creating an open dialogue and adapting your language to the current situation. You also have the ability to see what needs to be prioritized, are efficient, and use resources to achieve results in the best possible way. You are structured and plan your work well.
